What is a tweezer pattern?
Tweezer is a two-bar pattern in which the highs (or lows) of two candles are formed at approximately the same level. The name comes from the fact that the two ends of tweezers are kept at the same height.
Tweezer Top — Bearish Signal 🔴
condition
| Conditions | standards |
|---|---|
| Appearance location | After the uptrend |
| 1 bag | Beekeeping (rising) |
| 2 bags | Black candle (decline) |
| core | The high points of the two peaks are almost the same |
Formative psychology
It hit a strong high on the 1st bar, but on the 2nd bar it was blocked again at the exact same price. This is double confirmation that strong resistance exists at this level.
Conditions for increasing trust
- The more the difference between the high points of the two bars is within 1%, the stronger it is.
- More powerful when matching resistance or Fibonacci levels
- With RSI 70+

| Conditions | standards |
|---|---|
| Appearance location | After a downward trend |
| 1 bag | Black candle (decline) |
| 2 bags | Beekeeping (rising) |

Formative psychology
Strong buying trend appears twice in a row at the same price range → Double bottom candle version → Confirmation of strong support at the level.
Futures Trading Strategy
Tweezer Ceiling — Short Strategy
Entry: 2nd candle (negative candle) closing price
Stop Loss: Above the common high point of both bars (0.3%)
Target: Immediate support line
Additional confidence: stronger if the next candle is also down.
Tweezer Bottom — Long Strategy
Entry: 2nd candle (black candle) closing price
Stop Loss: Below the common low of both bars (0.3%)
Target: Immediate resistance line
Additional confidence: RSI below 30 + support line coincides
Strength of tweezers: Specific stop loss settings
Unlike other patterns, the common high/low point and stop loss reference point are clear. If that level is breached, the pattern will be invalidated, so stop loss immediately.
