What is a tweezer pattern?

Tweezer is a two-bar pattern in which the highs (or lows) of two candles are formed at approximately the same level. The name comes from the fact that the two ends of tweezers are kept at the same height.

Futures Trading Strategy

Tweezer Ceiling — Short Strategy

Entry: 2nd candle (negative candle) closing price
Stop Loss: Above the common high point of both bars (0.3%)
Target: Immediate support line

Additional confidence: stronger if the next candle is also down.

Tweezer Bottom — Long Strategy

Entry: 2nd candle (black candle) closing price
Stop Loss: Below the common low of both bars (0.3%)
Target: Immediate resistance line

Additional confidence: RSI below 30 + support line coincides

Strength of tweezers: Specific stop loss settings

Unlike other patterns, the common high/low point and stop loss reference point are clear. If that level is breached, the pattern will be invalidated, so stop loss immediately.
